Tetris Monolith Discovered in the Desert
Each year, for one week, tens of thousands of people journey to Black Rock Desert,
120 miles north of Reno, Nevada to participate in Burning Man. In 2008, Henk Rogers
brought the game of Tetris to the desert, where he and a gathering of Tetris die-hards
built the mother of all Tetris games — a 50-foot video tower surrounded by Tetriminos.
Participants lined up in the evening to enjoy a quick game of Tetris while onlookers
stared in awe of this colorful structure. Special thanks to "BrianR6" for complete
access to the photo collection.
